The Flowers Heritage Foundation Hosts Third Annual "Don't Turn Your Back on AIDS" Student Art Competition Awards and Auction Promoting AIDS Awareness in Bay Area High Schools
EVENT DETAILS
WHAT: The third annual Flowers Heritage Foundation "Don't Turn your back on AIDS" program provides an interactive environment where high school students learn information regarding teen HIV/AIDS infections, risks and prevention. Participants are given orientations by AIDS outreach educators, and are challenged to interpret their views of the disease through artistic expression.
The Flowers Heritage Foundation will honor 26 of the high school artists whose work will be showcased at the event and be available for guests to bid on in a silent auction with all of the proceeds going to the Foundation's public health programs.
Six students will be honored with the top awards and 20 students will be recognized with honorable mention prizes. The top three winners' high school art departments will receive a matching award.
